I was a massive fan of the first Fixmer/McCarthy album... at the time it came out, I finally thought "here is what modern EBM should sound like".
So I had huge hopes for this album, but upon the first couple of casual listens - it didn't even tickle my mild fancy.
Upon a few more listens, and with the entire stereo to myself - this album starts to fall into place. Its good. And I can now tell its going to live with me for a while yet. It ain't no "Between the Devil" but it has enough to keep me coming back - if anything this album has more Nitzer Ebb than the prior.
Its an a matured Fixmer/McCarthy - and the jury is still out on whether its a good thing or not, but if modernised electro and EBM is your thing, then give it some time... it just might creep up on you.
